The LNKC Board of Directors has approved the following changes to the PHRF rating program:

1.  PHRF rating certificates and ratings will expire three years from the last day of the month
<P>
 in which the certificates for each class of boat are issued.
<P>
<P>
2.  A certificate holder desiring to retain a valid rating must submit to the Chief Handicapper
<P>
<P>a current PHRF request form to be found on this site, http://www.lnkc.com .
<P>
<P>
New rating certificates will not be issued to all certificate holders at this time. However,
<P>
 all new certificates issued will contain an expiration date. The LNKC Board of Handicappers
<P>
 will notify each certificate holder no later than 30 days prior to the expiration of the certificate. 
<P>
3. August 28, 2011 . Added a recommendation that PHRF boats racing on Lake Norman comply
<P> with Offshore Special Rules (OSRs) Appendix J, Category 5 minimum equipment and accommodations standards.
<P>
4. October 2, 2011 . Deleted the requirement that boats must be at least 20 feet overall length. 
<P>Established criteria for a Sport Boat Division.
<P>
